Ministry Outreach

Irene Bredlow

Irene was the Canadian flavor to this early beginning. Diaspora Jews returning has always been a plank in this ministry platform. Irene is a registered nurse in Canada and also Israel. She was instrumental in expanding the ministry outreach to include training aspiring ladies to become volunteers first and then enter work force. These volunteers worked in Ein Kerim and the Mount Scopus facility. She then moved to Beer Sheva, where she worked in Soroka Hospital Geriatic ward for three years. In 1976 she and a couple others left for Ethiopia. These two others returned early but she remained there for three more months, traveling to the different areas where the Ethiopian Jews lived. She encouraged them that they should make Aliya to Israel. She assured them that by the help of The Lord, this would be a reality. This very prophecy occurred some ten years later. Irene acquired her A-3 visa in late seventies, and is still serving the Lord in Israel, as she oversees the current Mount Zion Fellowship here in Israel.
